DMD Green announced a new program called SocialCycling, a chain-of-custody recycling certification program that takes difficult to recycle materials and facilitates their use into new products.

The concept is attracting manufacturers in architecture and design as many companies struggle to find ways to keep their post-consumer products out of landfills. For example, certain vinyl-coated fabrics are difficult to recycle. Those same materials can be delivered to workrooms in developing countries and turned into backpacks for local school children.
