Accsys Technologies PLC (“Accsys” or “the Company”) announces its inclusion in The Sustainable Business 20 (SB20) list of the world’s top sustainable stocks, published by SustainableBusiness.com.

The SB20, now in its seventh year, showcases the most innovative, model companies that, through their products or initiatives, are contributing substantially to the advance of a sustainable economy and have the potential to greatly impact our ultimate goal of reaching a sustainable society. The listed companies are nominated, discussed and then voted on by a group of judges who are among the most respected environmental / social analysts in the world.

The list, published in the monthly online Progressive Investor  newsletter, features large and small companies from several countries that are strong from both a sustainable and a financial perspective. The full list of the top 20 companies can be found at:  www.sustainablebusiness.com/index.cfm/go/progressiveinvestor.main.

“Our goal is to create a list that showcases public companies that, over the past year, have made substantial progress in either greening their internal operations or growing a business based on an important green technology,” said Rona Fried, CEO of SustainableBusiness.com.

Willy Paterson-Brown, Accsys’ Executive Chairman, commented: “It is a privilege for the Company to be featured on this elite list.  Not only is the far-reaching potential of our highly successful Accoya wood product and its proprietary wood modification technology receiving the recognition that it deserves but it also acknowledges that the Company is well positioned to exploit this substantial opportunity.”

Accsys also announced earlier in the month that it had been selected by the Cleantech Group, LLC to join its prestigious Cleantech Index of public cleantech companies, with effect from 30 June 2008. The Cleantech Group’s Cleantech Index (www.cleantechindex.com), which comprises of 76 publicly traded companies, is the first, and only, equity index to offer investors and index licensees an easy, liquid and cost-effective way to track and invest in the broad cleantech category.
