Atlanta — Chemique Adhesives, Inc.’s Solfre2 is a two-component polyurethane adhesive that is free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and meets current environmental regulations, the company reports. To prevent the release of harmful excess isocyanate into the atmosphere, Solfre2’s two components come in equal amounts and stay separate until the point of application. When the two parts of the Solfre2 come together, a chemical reaction starts the cure process and emits no excess isocyanate into the atmosphere. Because there are no VOCs, the product can be spray applied, unlike one-component polyurethane. The Solfre2 line is available for use in insulation panels; cladding and architectural panels; and textile and foam laminates, with typical substrates being foam, timber, metals and plastic. www.chemiqueadhesives.com.
