Hazleton, PA, – November 3rd, 2008 Forbo Flooring Systems is a founding member of the USGBC and has exhibited at GreenBuild since its inception.  At this year’s event, Forbo is introducing a new concept in booth design and trade show participation aimed at minimizing the environmental impacts of our promotional activities at exhibitions and trade shows. Steps taken include but are not limited to:

• Reducing the booth staff to two local representatives from the Northeast.
• Additional coverage will be provided through two workstations that will allow attendees in Boston to communicate via internet video conference with Forbo Executives at the corporate office located in Hazleton, PA.  This will eliminate airline travel, limit hotel accommodations and other travel impacts drastically reducing carbon emissions.
• The booth will have a minimalist design, focused primarily on the floor, while using the best environmental profile materials suitable for the application.
• The flooring materials will be sourced through our local Boston distributor and donated to a local charity once
• GreenBuild is completed minimizing shipping impacts to and from the convention center.

The booth will feature Marmoleum, a certified sustainable flooring product that helps contribute to LEED credits and strategies.  It will be featured in three installation options – sheet, MCT tile and Click (floating floor planks).
