With energy costs and sustainability rising to the top of the global priority list, the effort to green the world’s most energy-intensive facilities, including laboratories, is increasingly important. The Labs21 2008 Annual Conference offers a forum for laboratory architects, engineers, owners, and operators from around the world to discuss the challenges and trends in making more sustainable, high-performance facilities.
The conference agenda will feature informative technical and poster sessions, a series of topic-specific half-day symposia, and a Technology and Services Fair showcasing a variety of innovative products and services from more than 60 vendors. Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to attend pre-conference training workshops and tours of local, sustainable high-tech facilities.
Labs21, a voluntary partnership program co-sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy, is dedicated to improving the environmental performance of U.S. laboratories. The Labs21 conference and workshops are additionally co-sponsored by the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories.
