Join us in Lake County, Illinois, winner of the 2008 National Sustainable Communities Award from the National Association of Counties for its efforts to explore strategies to create vibrant and sustainable communities.

From green jobs to smart growth to renewable energy, water quality and local food production, GreenTown will enable participants to hear from inspiring speakers, learn from been-there case studies and discuss actionable ways to make communities greener, healthier and more prosperous.

GreenTown Lake County will be held Thursday, March 18, 2010, at College of Lake County. Pre-conference sessions will be held on March 17, 2010, and will include Greening K-12, Higher Education and Engaging Residents in Creating Sustainable Communities.
