Greetings and welcome to the June 2006 edition of the ED+C eNews.
Heading West: This week finds me preparing to leave the office for sunny California, with the AIA Expo 2006 being held June 8 - 10 in Los Angeles. Look for me and Sales Managers Heather Jenkins and Liz Obloy at our AIA booth # 3810 in the Green Pavillion, and share your latest green product or project news. And, in more green events news, Neocon 2006, Chicago, is the week following; June 12 - 14. ED+C's Publisher Diana Brown, Editor Michelle Hucal and Sales Manager Heather Jenkins will be searching the showrooms at Neocon next week for the latest green products. Be sure to say hello if you have a chance and watch for coverage in coming
issues of ED+C!
Question: ED+C wants to know what our readers think of our Sustainable Home section (www.sustainablehomemag.com). What are some of the areas you want to see covered more thoroughly in regard to green homes? What can ED+C include to make this section even stronger?
Until next time,
Joe Mayton ED+C Associate Editor

Allergy Management in Home Building and Remodeling Webster City, Iowa - Beam Central Vacuum Systems' (www.beamvac.com) KickSweep automatic dustpan lends to added convenience for the quick clean-ups often required in kitchens, bathrooms and mudrooms. Because central vacuum systems blow no air into the rooms, they are especially convenient and effective on hard-surface floors usually found in kitchens and bathrooms. Installed in the toe kick of cabinetry or at the base of a wall, the user sweeps dirt and dust to the KickSweep, and presses the toe
switch, turning on the central vacuum power unit. The dirt is whisked away with no bending and no dirty dustpan. A study of allergic rhinitis patients by the University of California-Davis School of Medicine, found their symptoms improved by 40 to 60 percent when they cleaned with a Beam Central Vacuum System instead of a conventional vacuum.
