Greetings and welcome to the December 2006 edition of the ED+C eNews.
The holiday season is upon us, and I, for one, am still decompressing from Greenbuild! 2006 was a busy year for ED+C, with travel for our show schedule, webinars, Excellence in Design awards, the launch of Sustainable Home in November and our Green Book December issue that hits the streets next week! And it doesn't stop -- beginning in 2007, ED+C is going 12 times, with Sustainable Home also going out in January, May, August and October.
As the year draws to a close, take a minute to reflect on it. One thing that I've learned is that it is difficult to try and be in 30 different places at once! I wouldn't want it any other way, though, as this is a strong testament to the growth of the green building industry. What are some of the key lessons you've learned? What were your favorite green building shows you attended? What designs you saw really floored you? Share your favorite stories. Send them to me at maytonj@bnpmedia.com, and ED+C will incorporate into our blog.
Congrats to John Profitt of Assured Developments Ltd. John is the lucky winner of the Learn Green + Earn Green Solio solar iPod charger and iPod from ED+C's Greenbuild contest.
And, don't forget to sign up for our free Designing for Sustainability - Through Lifecycle Thinking Edu+cast webinar sponsored by Steelcase being held online this Thursday, Dec. 7 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Visit www.EDCmag.com for more details.
Happy Holidays from ED+C!
Until next year,
Joe Mayton ED+C Associate Editor
