Welcome to the ED+C eNews for August 2007
|
|
|
Wow. If you didn't already know it simply by looking at the calendar, the recent hot spell would wake you up to the fact that August is here. Having been in the southeastern part of the country last week, I can say that I'm glad to be back in the more "tepid" region by comparison.
Most of you probably have some way of beating the heat. I'd hazard a guess to say that unless your one of the lucky few that can sit on the beach or at poolside all day, you're best bet probably means being cooped up indoors. But what might the price be to your health for doing so? Pick up the August issue of ED+C and read the GREENGUARD special section to find out more about indoor air quality, how it affects you, and what you can do about it.
And, speaking of hot, ED+C is currently on the lookout for hot new products going on display at Greenbuild. We want to feature these products in our October issue's Product Focus section. So if you've got one, send it, as well as your Greenbuild booth number, on over to me at teald@bnpmedia.com. The right products will be given a preview before the show in November. Hopefully, the heat will be broken by then.
While you're at it, don't forget to register at www.edcmag.com. You'll not only find the Digital Edition and online versions of the publication, but you'll also have access to all of the great content created specifically for the Web.

In the meantime, try to stay cool!
Cheers,
Derrick Teal ED+C Associate Editor

Energy Efficiency…Simplified.
EFCO’s innovative E-Wall Silicone Gasket curtain wall system is easy to install, durable, and energy efficient. With no internal joint seals, mullion plugs, pressure plates or snap on covers, the time and labor to install E-Wall is minimized. The molded-corner silicone gaskets stay in place permanently, even under extreme weather conditions, and the system's efficient compression gasket prevents leakage.

In addition to the system's easy installation benefit and sound construction, it also meets and exceeds all the current standards for thermal performance levels and energy conservation. To learn more about EFCO’s E-Wall Silicone Gasket curtain wall system and our other earth-friendly products, please visit www.efcocorp.com today. |
