Welcome to the ED+C eNews for December 2007
|
|
|

My stepfather once used the phrase, "You use it to see where you’ve been," in describing a car’s rearview mirror to me. And, as many history buffs are quick to tout, you need to know where you’ve been to see where you’re going. Historically, my rearview mirrors have had a tendency to fall off. It’s probably a little more insight into my life — and driving habits — than you would care to know, but oh well.
As 2007 draws to a close, a lot of people are going to be looking into their rearview mirrors to get an idea of where they’re going. Hopefully, it's someplace good.
Members of the green building industry can definitely feel good about the direction the industry is headed. A lot of positive strides have been taken toward making sustainable buildings commonplace and finally removing "green" from "green construction" to simply make it "construction."
Of course, you don’t have to take this from a guy whose rearview mirrors always fall off. Take a peek into December’s issue of ED+C to get some real perspectives from people whose fingers are on the pulse of the industry.
And, in case we don’t get the chance later on, all of us here at ED+C wish you and yours a safe, happy holiday season!
Cheers,
Derrick Teal ED+C Associate Editor

Energy Efficiency…Simplified.
EFCO’s innovative E-Wall Silicone Gasket curtain wall system is easy to install, durable and energy efficient. With no internal joint seals, mullion plugs, pressure plates or snap on covers, the time and labor to install E-Wall is minimized. The molded-corner silicone gaskets stay in place permanently, even under extreme weather conditions, and the system's efficient compression gasket prevents leakage.

In addition to the system's easy installation benefit and sound construction, it also meets and exceeds all the current standards for thermal performance levels and energy conservation. To learn more about EFCO’s E-Wall Silicone Gasket curtain wall system and our other earth-friendly products, please visit www.efcocorp.com today. |
