Welcome to the ED+C eNews for October 2007
|
|
|
There's usually a lot going on here at ED+C. Hardly a day passes where the activity doesn't border on frantic...sometimes just from our futile attempts at trying to keep the number of email messages manageable. Don't get me wrong, we love to get emails (Especially the ones saying we're doing a good job!) but it's a constant battle to keep our inboxes from filling up. I think you'd be surprised at the number of discussions revolving around email volume on the average month.
We were a tad more frantic this month because we not only put together the largest issue of ED+C this year, but we also had an issue of Sustainable Home (ED+C's residential supplement) and the premier issue of Sustainable Facility. We've been mentioning it for a while now on our website, in our eNewsletters and at the end of the multitude of emails we send out each day. Now, though, the issue has been completed and it looks great. The editor, Joe Mayton, has put in a lot of work to make this happen. Keep an eye out for it and visit
www.sustainablefacility.com to learn more.
We're also all going to be at Greenbuild this year. Be sure to stop by booth #930 and talk to us (ie., tell us how good a job we're doing) in person. It'll be nice for our inboxes to get a bit of a respite.
Don’t forget to become a registered site user at www.EDCmag.com. It's free, and only takes a few minutes. You’ll get access to ED+C
archives, all of the special sections, as well as other great features. Besides, you might be one of the lucky registrants we randomly select to win valuable CD libraries or exclusive LEED Guides.
Congratulations to our October 2007 www.EDCmag.com registration winner, Brooke Buzard of Rochester, N.Y.
 Cheers,
Derrick Teal ED+C Associate Editor

Energy Efficiency…Simplified.
EFCO’s innovative E-Wall Silicone Gasket curtain wall system is easy to install, durable, and energy efficient. With no internal joint seals, mullion plugs, pressure plates or snap on covers, the time and labor to install E-Wall is minimized. The molded-corner silicone gaskets stay in place permanently, even under extreme weather conditions, and the system's efficient compression gasket prevents leakage.

In addition to the system's easy installation benefit and sound construction, it also meets and exceeds all the current standards for thermal performance levels and energy conservation.
