Welcome to the ED+C eNews for September 2007
|
|
|
Labor Day has come and gone, and taken the unofficial end of summer along with it. That means just about every school-age kid, from elementary up through college, is back in school. This time of year might be a mixed blessing for those parents who have children attending college. On the one hand, it’s nice to have a little bit more space in the house, but, on the other hand, it might seem a little lonely. So, your opinion on tuition could be viewed one of two ways: It’s either the price to pay for some freedom, or just rubbing salt in the wound. It’s not all for naught, though. The September issue of ED+C
features colleges and universities. Take a look inside and see how some higher-ed institutions are putting your hard-earned dollar to work for the environment.
Also in the issue is the ED+C Concrete special section. Though concrete’s been around since the days of the Romans, it sure doesn’t look its age with some of the ways people have recently put it to use.
Don’t forget to become a registered site user at www.EDCmag.com. It's free, and only takes a few minutes. You’ll get access to ED+C
archives, all of the special sections, as well as other great features. Besides, you might be one of the lucky registrants we randomly select to win valuable CD libraries or exclusive LEED Guides.
Congratulations to our August 2007 www.EDCmag.com registration winner, Michael Abraham of Santa Monica, Calif.
We are also preparing for our upcoming Webinar, "Smart Design for Healthy Indoor Air," which will be hosted by Carl Smith, CEO, GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, moderated by ED+C Editor and LEED AP Michelle Hucal, and sponsored by Georgia Pacific. The Webinar will be broadcast October 11, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. ET.

The launch of BNP's new publication, Sustainable Facility, is just a month away. Don't miss it!
