| Welcome to the ED+C eNews for March 2006 |
|
Greetings and welcome to the March 2006 edition of the ED+C eNews.
Just a quick note: The eNews has been shuffled from the first Wednesday of each month to the first Tuesday of each, so beginning with this edition, you can look for them on those Tuesdays in your inbox.
The more I get involved in the green industry, the more I find myself asking questions--wanting to learn more. Seemingly on a daily basis I come across new terminology and perspectives on issues related to
sustainable design and advancing the green building movement. Education is the key to gaining a better understanding.
Where do professionals in the green industry turn to for practical information on current issues demanding attention in the field of sustainable design--How important is IAQ and green cleaning in our educational system and school buildings? What are some of the challenges you anticipate when starting a green design project? How do you go about factoring in the true costs of building green? ED+C's Green Design Solutions, May 2-4, 2006, in Atlanta is an educational conference that will focus on hot topics within the green industry, like Mixed-used developments; Construction;
Schools; Finance, and more, and will feature a Keynote Address by Andrew Acho of Ford Motor Company; industry experts including Steven Winter, Henning Bloech, Robert Kobet, as well as many other green industry notables. Green Design Solutions will provide practical, highly informative educational sessions with seminars, case studies and lectures by industry leaders, as well as the opportunity for networking and touring the Atlantic Station mixed-use community development. ED+C and corporate sponsors BASF,
Sloan, Amvic and Rehau invite you to join us for the 2nd Annual Green Design Solutions Conference being held May 2-4, 2006 in Atlanta. A reduced registration rate is available through April 14, but you must act quickly to reserve a spot at this not-to-be-missed event. For more information, visit www.greendesignsolutions.com, or call 1-888-530-6714.
I look forward to
hopefully seeing you in Atlanta.
Until next time,
Joe Mayton ED+C Associate Editor
p.s.
