Water Conservation
Are we waging a war against ourselves?
In the past, poisoning an enemy's water supply wasn't an unheard of tactic during wartime because, obviously, humans need water to live. While there haven't been any confirmed cases of illnesses or deaths linked to the recent discovery of all sorts of pharmaceuticals and other contaminants in our drinking water, the knowledge that they're even there has caused more than a little concern. What if the problem gets worse and we do start seeing water-related illnesses and deaths?
The realization is waking people to the notion that water is a precious, limited resource. Most people in the construction industry are already aware that the exponentially growing population is putting a strain on the available supply of potable water. That's why products and strategies exist in the marketplace to help reduce the amount of water used.
This Targeted eNews presents the latest news, products and articles associated with water conservation. Hopefully, we'll put a stop to the elimination of our water supply, and this war against ourselves, before it's too late.
Cheers,
Derrick Teal ED+C Associate Editor
