Interiors
The old adage that you can't judge a book by its cover is fitting for many buildings. Think about it. How many times have you come across a real estate listing stating that the interior of the home was a "must see to believe" or something of that nature? While a structure's exterior gives us our first impression, it's most often the interior that we end up using to judge a space. It's because of this that so much time, money and effort is spent on the interior.
Whether it's lighting, furnishings, flooring or finishes, an interior is representative of the facility, those who use it, and those who designed and built it. That's why if you're sustainably-minded, the place to show it is in the interior.
Think you have a facility with an interior worth showing off? Well, there are only a few short weeks left to enter ED+C's 2008 Excellence in Design awards. The deadline for entries is February 6, 2008. Time is almost out!
Cheers,
Derrick Teal ED+C Associate Editor

But now this product is making a surprising comeback as one of the "new" products of the future. |
