Editor's Note

Welcome to ED+C's Targeted eNews: Energy Efficiencyderrick2

Among the myriad reasons why people are choosing to develop, design and build sustainable buildings, perhaps the chief reason is energy efficiency. It's been cited that buildings account for as much as 40 percent of the world's CO2 emissions, mostly through energy use. By building smarter, we can reduce the amount of energy consumed by each building and reduce the amount of greenhouse gases created.

Even for those who believe that not enough has been done to prove the ill effects of greenhouse gases, it's hard to argue against the amount of money an energy-efficient building can save its owner during its lifetime. This Targeted eNews highlights energy efficiency. For more, visit www.EDCmag.com
