Los Angeles — Kumho Electric’s Sequoia is a new series of T5 fluorescent lamps that reportedly last more than four times as long as other T5s. Kumho attributes Sequoia’s longevity to a patented cathode design the company first developed for use in top-of-the-line backlight display panels. Sequoia T5 lamps are designed for sports arenas, warehouses or factories. Sequoia T5 lamps are capable of instantaneous restart. Sequoia has a color rendering index (CRI) greater than 82 and a lumen maintenance with light output dropping by only 5 percent at 30,000 hours and less than 8 percent at 100,000 hours. The F54T5HO lamps are available in four color temperatures: 3000K, 3500K, 4100K and 5000K.

Judging by this year’s results of the 2013 Top Products, we officially know we’re not going (too) crazy. It’s glaringly obvious that the market for accessing important information on the go has rapidly evolved in just one year and will continue to change. We wonder what’s in store for 2014, but for now enjoy the products that interested you—the reader of EDC’s print, digital, eNewsletter and, of course, mobile content—most in 2013.

Skanska’s senior vice president of Green Markets, Elizabeth Heider, shares her thoughts on the high points and happenings at Greenbuild 2013.
