23rd Antron Carpet Fiber Design Awards

Wichita, Kan. — INVISTA Interiors has announced the call for entries for the 23rd Antron carpet fiber Design Award, including the 8th Antron carpet fiber Product Innovation Award and the 4th Antron carpet fiber Sustainable Flooring Performance Award competitions. The deadline for entries is Friday, September 14, 2007.

Judges for the Antron carpet fiber Design Award competitions will be: Carol Jones, principal for Kasian Architecture Interior Design & Planning LTD.; Tama Duffy Day, principal for Perkins + Will; Eric Engstrom, founder of EDG Interior Architecture + Design; Richard N. Pollack, CEO of POLLACK Architecture; and Richard A. Carlson, principal for Swanke Hayden Connell Architects.

"This is an excellent opportunity for firms, designers and architects to be recognized by industry peers for excellence in design and product development," said Bobby Berrier, vice president for INVISTA Commercial and Transportation Flooring. "Each year we are amazed by the innovative ways in which the rich colors and textures of Antron carpet fiber come to life in the hands of these talented designers. Work of this caliber helps shape the future of commercial design."

The 23rd Antron carpet fiber Design Award showcases designers who set new standards of creativity in commercial interior design through the innovative use of carpet. The entries for this category will be judged on creativity and originality of the carpet application; overall design creativity and originality; and how well the design met the client's business objectives and challenges.

The 8th Antron carpet fiber Product Innovation Award honors carpet mills whose products excelled in style, aesthetics, color and usage in the marketplace. The entries for this category will be judged on creativity, design and originality, as well as the techniques used for the carpet's design.

The 4th Antron carpet fiber Sustainable Flooring Performance Award recognizes sustainable practices through the use of performance-driven flooring choices in commercial applications. Entries will be judged on how well the original carpet selection continued to meet the client's performance and design objectives, and the ability of the design to meet the client's business objectives and challenges over time as a result of sustainable material selection.

Winners will be notified in January 2008. For more information, and to enter, visit www.antron.net.
