VISTA, CA - Solatube International Inc. offers the new Solar Star®, a solar-powered attic fan. Unlike typical, non-motorized roof ventilators available in home-improvement stores, which depend on breezes to function, Solar Star operates completely on energy from sunlight that is continuously collected and converted to electrical power by a state-of-the-art solar panel. The unit features a sleek, contemporary design; a rugged metal housing; and an advanced, ultra-resistant solar panel for optimal performance. Providing up to 1200-square-feet of circulation coverage, the built-in motor exchanges air at a rate of up 800 cubic feet per minute to prevent attic heat from building up in the summer and help eliminate condensation in the winter. The unit's compact, low-profile design allows it to be installed anywhere air circulation is needed, including attics, garages and sheds.
