Green building, sustainable construction, and operations goals might seem antithetical goals for a major non-profit, integrated healthcare delivery system. But at Kaiser Permanente, we recognize the direct link between environmental health and human health and safety. As a healthcare organization, our purpose is to keep people well and to care for them when they’re not. If our facilities are contributing to health problems, then we’re not really doing our job.
