The Brick Industry Association (BIA) has issued a call for entries for its 2012 Brick In Architecture Awards honoring outstanding, innovative and sustainable brick design in eight categories. As the largest and most prestigious juried competition of its kind, the Brick in Architecture Awards showcase the finest work in clay face and paving brick from architects and builders around the country — and unmatched as compared to other building exteriors. The deadline for all submissions is Monday, April 27.
"As a natural building material made in America, brick has become a vital part of our nation's green building design," said Gregg Borchelt, PE, FASTM, FCSI, BIA’s president and CEO. "The annual winning projects express the best in brick design ingenuity, sustainability, and natural, lasting value and beauty," he said.
