- At least 50% of the new wood (by cost) is FSC-certified

- Eligible projects will be judged based on:
- The amount of FSC-certified wood used in the project
- The appropriateness of wood use, creative expression and innovation
- Efforts to advance FSC market transformation (such as new FSC certificates issued, project replicability and affordability, relationships formed along the supply chain, etc).
Project teams must complete and submit the attached application form to FSC-US by 5pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Applicants will be notified of the Award decision by mid-October. The Award will be presented at the US Green Building Council’s GreenBuild ‘08 Conference in Boston, November 18-20.
The winning project team will be chosen by an independent Committee of recognized professionals representing diverse fields within the forest products and building industry.
All submissions will be listed on the FSC-US website, www.fscus.org, and each project team will receive two complimentary tickets to the invitation-only FSC-US reception and Award ceremony at GreenBuild ’08.
All winning project team members will receive complimentary tickets to the FSC-US GreenBuild ’08 reception, where they will be presented with the Designing & Building with FSC Award. A poster of the project will be displayed at the FSC-US booth, and a project case study will be posted on the FSC-US website. Media recognition will also be sought during GreenBuild ’08.
