American Seating, a leader in innovative seating solutions for 125 years, is introducing Core, seating specifically designed to meet the durability, maintenance and price point needs of K-12 or higher education classrooms and auditoriums, as well as indoor sports and entertainment venues.
Core is available in floor or riser mount applications, six different widths and two height options. Core’s significant features include: a three-quarter fold seat that enables hands-free user movement for easy access to a seated position; curved back inner which provides exceptional base comfort and ergonomic support; and engineered copolymer seat, back and arm covers that are highly durable and easy to clean. In addition, Core features a fail-safe gravity lift seat that enables the seat to return to the up position when not in use.
Many components of the new Core chair –standards, brackets, seat backs, etc. – contain recycled content. As a result, more than half of Core’s weight is comprised of post-consumer recycled materials, which exceeds LEED MR 4 requirements by 35 to 50 percent, depending on model and percentage/point level. Core’s backs are made with post-consumer plastic products such as milk containers and detergent bottles using a patented process called ReTek. At the end of its useful life, Core’s components can be easily disassembled and recycled.
