Greenward Ridge Vent revealed by Energy Alternatives, LLC

New York- Energy Alternatives, LLC announces the introduction of the patent pending Greenward Ridge Vent. The Greenward Ridge Vent harvests ambient hot attic air as it escapes through the ridge of your roof. The thermal heat is used as a form of renewable energy to heat the incoming water into your hot water tank. The homeowner consumes less energy, reduces their CO2 emissions and saves money. The company has partnered with industry leader Benjamin Obdyke Incorporated to aid in the development of the product.

The patent pending Greenward Ridge Vent and Greenward Ridge Vent System are products of a 3 year long sustainable research initiative by Energy Alternatives, LLC. “We make it possible and affordable for every homeowner to have a direct impact on their carbon footprint while ventilating their attic” says Kevin B. Scott, President of Energy Alternatives, LLC. The Greenward Ridge Vent System provides homeowners an inexpensive method to heat their incoming water into their hot water tank by reusing the heat in their attic. As the hot attic air escapes through the ridge of the roof, it passes over flexible tubes contained in the ridge vent material. These tubes carry an environmentally friendly water/corn based glycol solution that gets heated by the escaping hot attic air. A circulator pump pushes the hot solution in a closed loop into a hot water storage tank where it heats the incoming city or well water. When your hot water is being used it gets replenished with hot water heated by your hot attic air. Therefore, a homeowner becomes part of the “green” movement by consuming less energy and reducing CO2 emissions while saving money.

A key development for Energy Alternatives, LLC and their patent pending Greenward Ridge Vent is their strategic partnership with industry leader Benjamin Obdyke Incorporated. ”With today’s focus on energy conservation and alternative energy sources, Energy Alternatives’ idea of utilizing the heat from the attic is a smart concept.” says Michael Coulton, Director of Marketing & Product Development for Benjamin Obdyke. “Marrying our technology of venting heat from the attic and preventing it from causing damage with their ideas for capturing it and putting it to use saving people money, is a great combination.” Furthermore adds Kevin B. Scott, “the building industry is changing and focusing more on “green” initiatives. Our strategic partnership with Benjamin Obdyke ensures our customers that the Greenward Ridge Vent is the best next generation ridge vent material on the market.”
