Formed as a non-profit, 501c6 organization with lobbying capability, the Green Chamber is a direct result of thousands of green companies looking for an organization that can serve their diverse interests, including providing a standard for defining what is, indeed, a “green” business as well as having an organization that can speak to their needs for legislation to advance the growth of green businesses in the U.S.
The Green Chamber will serve for-profit and non-profit members in a very diverse range of businesses, everything from alternative energy to companies providing a huge range of green products and services to environmental groups. The new Chamber provides a framework for this community of sustainable businesses to interact with each other about using ecologically-based business practices, policies and actions.
Green Chamber Created By Requests from Green Businesses
Executive Director Jon Anderson said, “The Green Chamber provides the missing link for green companies to share market research, employment needs and business leads to further their growth.”Willi Paul, National Program Development Director, defines the organization further: “Like the Rotary Club and other organizations, green businesses need to crank up the RFP and referral machines and support each for the sustainable business movement to succeed.”
