North America's Leading Building Products Manufacturer Joins HomeSphere

Lakewood, Colo. –  HomeSphere, a technology-leveraged service provider to residential homebuilders and building product manufacturers, has added CertainTeed to its list of over 70 supply chain partners. CertainTeed, maker of fiber cement siding and North America’s leading brand for exterior and interior building products, will employ HomeSphere’s BRI Program to manage rebates for homebuilders and, in turn, grow their market share.

The participation of CertainTeed allows builders to access cost savings on the company’s fiber cement products through rebate management provided by HomeSphere's web-based portal. The portal allows CertainTeed to open potential sales channels, especially during the down market.

“CertainTeed has helped shape the building products industry for more than 100 years through innovation and creative product design,” notes Thierry Denis, Vice President and General Management for CertainTeed. “HomeSphere also brings innovative thinking to the sales process, and we look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership in the future.”

Designed to streamline the residential building supply chain, BRI is a unique Web-based service serving both manufacturers and builders. Manufacturers use BRI to access more than 1,100 builders on the program, gaining advanced understanding of their supply chain and increased exposure for their products through an efficient rebate management program. As a result, they gain inroads to new accounts and build recognition for their products and services. Builders, on the other hand, gain product knowledge and manage their cash-producing rebates, keeping them on the cutting edge as they trim their production costs.

“BRI is a powerful marketing tool,” said Glenn Renner, HomeSphere’s president and COO. "By offering product rebates on BRI, CertainTeed gains brand advantage with HomeSphere’s builder customers that have reported over 30,000 home closings in the first half of 2008.”

CertainTeed representatives will also utilize HomeSphere’s sales effectiveness products for manufacturers and distributors in the residential homebuilding industry. The tools, which track product usage, competitive research and sales by region, will assist the CertainTeed sales team to create leads and improve new customer acquisition.
