Energy Star Home Sealing offers businesses and consumers energy efficient solutions—helping to save money while protecting the environment for future generations. Energy Star Home Sealing recommends sealing the “envelope” that surrounds a space: the ceiling, outer walls, windows and floors. An envelope helps hold in comfortable indoor temperatures and provides shelter from exterior elements. The home envelope is a system of the combination of materials that surround the interior space lived in including: walls, floors, ceiling, roof, windows and doors.

When properly installed, Reflectix® insulation can help meet the performance goals of the Energy Star specification. Sealing the envelope contributes to the overall savings on heating and cooling bills and increases the comfort.
