Red Lion, Pa. - The newest educational seating group from Persing/Danko "makes great leaps in eco-modernist design while leaving a small foot print on the environment," the company say. Designer Peter Danko created the seating group in response to a design brief from a facilities team at the UT Health Sciences Center looking for an attached and freestanding classroom seat and desk system to be an example of sustainable design in performance. Danko's resolution to the design criteria uses an interesting combination of sustainable and recycled materials including steel, rubber tires and concrete. The seat and back material options are ply-bent wood or post-consumer plastic.
