Go beyond simple lifecycle analysis to balance the triple bottom line. Get an overview of the third-party verified Eco-Efficiency Analysis that compares lifecycle economic and environmental data for multiple products and systems. The entire lifecycle is considered—including the environmental impact of materials, the use of the product by customers and end consumers, as well as options for recycling and disposal—in a scientifically sound, holistic analysis. With three real-life case studies—air barrier materials, cladding systems and concrete formulations—this presentation will help attendees understand how to use Eco-Efficiency results, make informed decisions and help harmonize ecology, economy and society on their next project.

Learning objectives:
  • Determine what an Eco-Efficiency Analysis is and what it is used for
  • Evaluate the categories measured and weighting factors used to calculate Eco-Efficiency Analysis data
  • Analyze three real-life study examples that illustrate how common construction products and system are measured during an Eco-Efficiency Analysis
  • Assess how Eco-Efficiency Analysis results can help inform decisions for improving the sustainability of construction projects
